Bridge Consulting Asia Pte.Ltd. respects your concerns about privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines how Bridge Consulting Asia collects, holds and uses personal information.  It applies across all websites (Site) that we own and services that we provide (Services).

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Personal data that you provide directly to us. When you use our Services and/or this Site, your Personal Data may be collected by us through your voluntary submission (e.g. when you contact us or when you sign up for our activities such as events and newsletter via our homepage).

  • “Marketing Data” such as your preferences in receiving marketing from us and our third parties and your communication preferences. If you correspond with us by email or messaging through the Services, we may retain the content of such messages and our responses;
  • “Online Presence Data” such as links to your public account pages at social media websites, other online materials related to you, and your social media handles (LinkedIn/ Facebook/ Twitter membership ID);
  • “Behavioral Data” such as inferred or assumed information relating to your behaviour and interests, based on your online activity. This is most often collated and grouped into “segments”;

  • “Usage Data” includes information about how you use our website when you click on certain articles or posts, or “get involved” via our contact page where you can ask about hosting an event, join our community or contribute an article;

A cookie is a small text field that’s placed on your device when you visit one of our websites. This information assists use in identifying what our users find interesting on our website. If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Who we share your data with

Bridge Consulting Asia may transfer data to be processed by staff in our offices based in other countries that may not be the country that you live in. Bridge Consulting Asia staff and service providers are always required to adhere to our privacy guidelines.

Bridge Consulting Asia may use external service providers to maximise the quality of services we provide, and sometimes they may have access to personal information held by Bridge Consulting Asia and they may collect or use it on behalf of Bridge Consulting Asia. External service providers are always required to adhere to our privacy guidelines.

Otherwise we do not share your personal information with other organisations unless:

  • We have your consent to share data: You give your express consent for us to share your personal information in order for us to provide requested services, or otherwise work together.
  • We are required by law to share data: We are required by law or regulation to disclose information we hold to protect the rights, property or personal safety of an individual or the interests of Bridge Consulting Asia
  • Data to be shared is non-personal, anonymised and aggregated: We may share non-personal, anonymised, aggregated information for research or promotional purposes.

We do not sell or trade information with third parties.


How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

The length of time we keep your personal data depends on what it is and whether we have an ongoing business need to retain it. We will retain your personal data for as long as we have a relationship with you and for a period of time afterwards, or where we have an ongoing business need to retain it. Following that period, we will delete the information or ensure it is anonymised.

We take reasonable steps to delete or anonymise personal information when we no longer need it.


What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

How we protect your data

Security is a priority for us when it comes to your personal data. All Bridge Consulting Asia staff are required to respect the confidentiality of personal information we keep.

If you are an individual in the EU who is less than 16 years old, please do not send us any information or your Personal Data. We do not knowingly collect nor do we wish to collect and personally identifiable information or other user information from children under the age of 16. In the event that we learn we have collected any personal information from a child under the age of 16, we will delete the information from our database and terminate the corresponding account, if any.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

Irrespective of the country from which you access or use this Site or our Services, to the extent permitted by law, this Policy shall be governed in accordance with the laws of Singapore without regard to choice or conflicts of law principles, and you hereby agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore to resolve any claims or disputes which may arise in connection with this Policy.
